There are two sizes of birth pool, Mini and Large. Both birth pools will be ideal for anyone wanting to purchase a personal birth pool for their water birth. Both pools come with a lid and electric inflator as standard.

The Regular size pool has now been discontinued. We have now introduced the new Mini pool for those mums who need to make the most of their space.

The Aquaborn Eco Birth Pool has been designed with needs of the expectant mother, baby and midwife in mind. Its ergonomic design makes the most of the width and length of the pool, allowing the midwife to get closer to the mother when assessment is needed. The increased depth of the pool enables the mother to maintailn good bouyancy for ease of movement in the pool whilst providing privacy and comfort. The Aquaborn pools use the thickest 0.42mm materials used in current single use birth pool models and it is the deepest pool currently available.. No Liners Needed
The need for a liner is all based around the idea of keeping the pool dry and stopping bugs from breeding in damp areas of the pool when stored, hence a second use of the pool may provide a hygiene risk if a second liner is not used. In our research regarding the use of liners in inflatable birth pools, we found that very few expectant mothers used their inflatable pools before the onset of  labour.  The demand of filling the pool with warm water was simply not worth the effort of  the set up filling and emptying. In the circumstance of wanting to fill the pool with water more than once, we advise that when the pool is emptied it is dried thoroughly. If in doubt, the pool could be rinsed with a diluted sterilising solution before subsequent use. The use of a liner also inhibits the use of important internal handles, creates additional costs and distracts from the smooth calm environment within the pool itself.

A Little Deeper!
To achieve bouyancy in water and allow easy movement between positions, 45cm of water depth is required. We know you will want to move around and assume positions which bring your body out of the water. To aid this we have made the Aquaborn Eco Birth Pool a little deeper so that your waist can stay in the water even when you want to lean over the pool. This is perfect for a birth position where it is important to keep your pelvis in the water. You midwife is also in a much better position to get closer to you.

The six handles provide assistance in ALL birth Positions
The Aquaborn Eco Birth Pool has six handles that are optimally placed to assist in all birth positons. The two on top allow backward leaning, squatting and pushing positons whilst allowing the midwife to get closer to the expectant mother if needed. The two on the sides provide assistance in forward leaning and bracing. The two internal handles provide assistance in moving from one position to another, reclining and forward leaning.

The vertical anti-deflate beams
The Aquaborn Eco Birth Pool has unique beams that will deflate very slowly and equally, in the unlikely event of a puncture. This gives the mother plenty of time to exit the pool safely and the water to be removed before any spillage occurs.

The Top Ring chamber

The top ring is inflated and deflated in seconds to allow easier access to the pool if required. When it is deflated, it does not compromise the stability of the pool, like other pools can.

Fast Inflating, Fast Filling!
The pool can be inflated in just 4 minutes with A/C inflator which is included with every pool. Using a hand pump is just painstaking! Filling the pool with water will of course depend on your water pressure and availability of hot water. The 15m eco hose supplied in the packages has a 13mm internal diameter and is suitable for transferring hot water unlike garden hose, this is NON TOXIC HOSE! It takes on average 35mins – 90 mins to fill the pool, depending on you hot water system.

Tried and Tested!
The Aquaborn Eco Birth Pool has had excellent feedback from midwives and the people that have used it. The best features we get feedback on, is the height of the pool. Its depth enables mums to move easily between positions. The pocketed white floor, allows mum to get a good grip on the pool floor and the 8.5cm inflated floor thickness does not compromise the internal depth of the pool.

We are a relatively new company and so it is important to make this pool better than any other inflatable birth pool available. We want to make the benefits of this pool more widely available to women considering using water to help them through their labour and birth.
